there are specific ways in which we can improve ourselves as speakers, and this class/audio will definitely give us enough information and pointers to try, or keep in mind as we speak.

Most of the content was good
The audiobook provided good advice on speaking more effectively but there were several sections that I would skip entirely. Chapters 1-5 were more of an analysis than guidance, especially when the lecturer referred to political speeches as examples (not relevant for everyday communication). Then the chapter on negotiation weirdly uses a scene from a Western movie as an example of tough negotiation. Really?! There isn't any realistic scenario that can serve as an example?

Great tips and excellent narration
I bought this book so I can learn tips to be more confident and comfortable speaking in any situation. It DID help me! First, Molly Bishop Shadel is excellent in her narration of this book. Her voice was so effective in driving home the point she makes. Good book overall!

Fantastic Guide for Speaking in Numerous Situations
I was a little nervous after reading one of the other reviews, but I’m glad I went ahead and listened to this book. Tons and tons of excellent tips, tricks, and advice for how to speak clearly and effectively in a bunch of situations. Will listen again.

Perfect for all people .
These lectures are ideal for anyone seeking to speak more effectively. I am a pastor of a small church and I know my congregation will benefit from me listening to these audio lectures.

A must read if you teach!
The author provides a wealth of information on speech preparation and delivery. Introduces the audience to many forms of public speaking. I highly recommend this book.

A must for every individual who wants to improve his/her critical thinking skills.
This course is very relevant for todays environment. The authors shares lots of tools we can use for persuasion and argumentation in differerent settings. Ms. Shadel lectures are easy to grasp. I have a good time listening this audiobook. And yes, i will gladly recommend this course.
