Excellent tips!

The book and the narration were great. I plan on looking for another book by this author.

Many good tips

This is a great read if you have difficulty connecting with people. Empathy is the underlying theme. As in trying understanding where people are from their perspective. Lived experiences are very different from person to person; not everyone thinks like you or has experienced what you have in the way you have. Keep that in mind and you’ll be fine.

Too many toxic tips

I'll keep this brief. There are some good tips in this book that will help people reflect and adjust some of their own behaviors in order to give a more accurate representation of who they are and what their value is; however, there are MANY toxic behaviors that will result in false connections with people. Too many of the examples involve running from shame and/or avoiding vulnerability. It leans too heavily on predicting the emotions of others instead of allowing others to decide for themselves how they will react, and not enough on taking responsibility for ones own emotions and mistakes. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to build shallow, basic, false connections with a lot of people through deception, manipulation and vulnerability dodging. I do not recommend this book to anyone looking for genuine, quality, meaningful connections with the important people around them.
