Publisher's summary

"It took hitting rock bottom for me to realize that if I wanted something better for my girls, I had to learn to love myself first."

Leah was first thrust under the reality television microscope when her teen pregnancy was documented on MTV's groundbreaking series 16 and Pregnant. Since then, fans of Teen Mom 2 have watched her life play out on the small screen - from her struggle to rise to the challenges of motherhood, through her harrowing journey to find a diagnosis for one of her twin girls with a rare form of muscular dystrophy, and the collapse of two marriages. She has learned to live under the harsh glare of media scrutiny, yet there is a truth behind the reality that the cameras have never revealed.

In her unflinching and honest memoir, Leah takes listeners behind the scenes and shares an intimate, often heartbreaking, portrait of her turbulent childhood in rural West Virginia, the rock bottom that forced her to reevaluate her life, and her triumphant break from toxic relationships and self-destructive cycles to live her life with hope, grace, and faith.

LOVED THIS!

I’ve been a fan since day 1! To have this book and gain the background knowledge her leahs life journey was appreciated. It’s raw, it’s real and it helps fill in the picture the show does leave out. Of course there is much more to leahs life and her families but I am thankful for her book and her story! Look forward to a second one if she wrote it!
Leah- you are truly inspiring woman to watch over the years! Thank you for sharing your story.
Best,
Dawn

awesome

very informative. Narration was good. I definitely look at Leah as a mature adult versus a child having a child on 16 and Pregnant. I was proud to see her growth and we were lucky to hear her story. she is an inspiration.

A voice for all the teen moms struggling

Leah shows us a picture of what so many teen moms and their disfunctionable family are going through every day. We forget the struggles and we need to be conscious and whenever possible be an encouragement a mentor because we never know the impact or ripple effect our smile our kind words or our thoughtful acts can have. Their are so many people out there dealing with addiction and instead of criticizing them, let’s be a source of Hope, Grace and Faith.
