Great Book

This was a fantastic book - well written, interesting, and great flow. It was obviously very well researched and gave the listener such an indepth insight into Teddy Roosevelt's life, thoughts, and actions. The reading was terrific. I was hooked on this book and listened to it whenever the opportunity presented itself.

The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt

Totally engaging! It felt like I was listening to a movie. In fact, I hope someone does make this into a movie!

History comes alive

A masterful biography: detailed and factual, but also engaging and well written. You won't want to press stop! Very well read by the narrator as well. Even if you normally don't like history, you will like this book.

Inspiring and informative

Seldom does an audiobook's narrator make himself into such a transparent conduit of the author's words. Well read, well written, this book that made Morris famous is at the top of my audio memoirs. The only real flaws come in those moments where the abridged version has eliminated material. I looked forward to a retelling of TR's Badlands outlaw posse days, but it has been completely removed from this version.

A great life well-written

The years leading up to Roosevelt's becoming President were pretty eventful. Author does a first-rate job.
