Here are the voices of London - rich and poor, native and immigrant, women and men. From market traders to actors; squatters to pilots; from a dominatrix to a wiccan priestess - together, these voices paint a vivid, epic, and wholly fresh portrait of 21st-century London.

Someone less interested in everyday people telling the stories of their lives.
Let us hear the authentic voices of London. Let us hear people in their environments. We would have loved to have heard the market in the background as opposed to a sterile and sadly soulless recording.
Disappointment. We expected to spend our commutes listening to the different dialects and accents of London. Instead we heard a lot of interstitial (and lackluster) narration and the same actors simply retelling the different stories. These are not "the voices of London", these are the voices of five actors reciting stories in a silent recording studio.
There are two versions of this audiobook and I'm glad we tried the abridged version first.
