Publisher's summary

King Arthur is an enigma. To some he is the archetypal hero of old. To others he was a real man from a very real period in British history. The folklore surrounding this man is immense and involves all manner of mysterious people and objects such as the Knights Templar and the Holy Grail. And yet hundreds of years and countless experts have brought us no closer to the truth. Or have they?

Alan Wilson is the author of numerous books on King Arthur and related subjects. His research has brought new light to the subject for the first time in generations. Join Theo Chalmers from On the Edge as he interviews Alan Wilson.

A hoax

Giving this book one star is to treat it too nicely - I would have given it zero, but that was not possible in Audibles' grading sytem.
Mr Alan Wilson is a hoax, or rather his "discoveries" are. From the story of King Arthur he branches off into the ten lost tribes of Israel, tries to convince us the the Welsh came from Iraq and other preposterous ideas. The interview with Mr Wilson, where the interviewer has clear difficulties to make his voice heard through Mr Wilson's chatter, is more of a rambling monlogue. At one point the interviewer interjects: "Come on you scientific historians, try to prove Alan Wilson wrong". There is actually no need, as Mr Wilson is never even close to proving himself right. For those interested in crack-pot ideas, this could be interesting - everybody else - don't listen to this. It is basically crap.
