Publisher's summary

This audiobook features an introduction read by Bill O'Reilly.

The Revolutionary War as never told before.

The breathtaking latest installment in Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's mega-best-selling Killing series transports listeners to the most important era in our nation's history: the Revolutionary War. Told through the eyes of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Great Britain's King George III, Killing England chronicles the path to independence in gripping detail, taking the listener from the battlefields of America to the royal courts of Europe. What started as protest and unrest in the colonies soon escalated to a world war with devastating casualties.

O'Reilly and Dugard recreate the war's landmark battles, including Bunker Hill, Long Island, Saratoga, and Yorktown, revealing the savagery of hand-to-hand combat and the often brutal conditions under which these brave American soldiers lived and fought. Also here is the reckless treachery of Benedict Arnold and the daring guerilla tactics of the "Swamp Fox" Francis Marion. A must-listen, Killing England reminds one and all how the course of history can be changed through the courage and determination of those intent on doing the impossible.

Everyone in the U. S. Should read this book.

This is the first book that I immediately wanted to start over as soon as I finished. It made me marvel at the supreme incompetence of my high school history teacher who managed to make this story tedious and boring.

You Must Read This Book

If you are interested in history and have a curious mind as to what life was like at the beginning of our country this is a must read. I learned many facts about the people who participated in our freedom. Not exactly what we learned in school Goes into great detail.

Worst of the killing series

Was really excited about this book because of how great the other books in this series have been. This was by far the worst of any of the killing series books. If you're interested in this era I would read different books. My favorite from this time period is still Valley Forge.

Too tactical for me

While I'm glad I listen to this book and did learn some things I don't know that I learned anything of great significance. I have enjoyed more the other 6 books I have listen to by O'Reilly in the killing series.

Good, but not his best

Although they did a great job illustrating the brutality of the war, I didn't learn much more than I knew prior to this book. Their other books are near masterpieces, so my criticism is in part because I'm holding this book to the same standard.

Fascinating story of heroism

An amazing account of the greatest, bravest and most dedicated American patriots, and how they suffered the most formidable challenges .

Fascinating look at our founders

What made the experience of listening to Killing England the most enjoyable?

Another terrific history book from O'Reilly & Dugard. Lots of interesting little tidbits about the men and women who fought for our independence. Well written and well researched. Should be required reading in all history classes.

What a struggle to make this Country

Fantastic book I listened to it Twice,
The absolute agony these men went through to create a country for freedom , and a constitution to keep it that way.... everyone that lives in this Country should read this book . You should know who these people were , especially now when so many lies are being spread about our founders, thier blood and lives sacrificed for this Country and the blood shed for us to live in the greatest place on earth!

My Favorite Bill O'Reilly book yet

This book should be taught in school, it doesn't leave out the details that should be taught about the founding fathers. It has so much info that I missed out on that would have give other classmates a different perspective on everything that happened. Being a 23 looking all that's going on with around the country to all the founding fathers statues and the disrespect to there memory, this could give a fact based argument against the ignorance. Hands down the book about the revolutionary war.
