Publisher's summary

At the height of the Cold War, JFK risked committing the greatest crime in human history: starting a nuclear war. Horrified by the specter of nuclear annihilation, Kennedy gradually turned away from his long-held Cold Warrior beliefs and toward a policy of lasting peace. But to the military and intelligence agencies in the United States, who were committed to winning the Cold War at any cost, Kennedy's change of heart was a direct threat to their power and influence. Once these dark "Unspeakable" forces recognized that Kennedy's interests were in direct opposition to their own, they tagged him as a dangerous traitor, plotted his assassination, and orchestrated the subsequent cover-up.

Douglass takes listeners into the Oval Office during the tense days of the Cuban Missile Crisis, along on the strange journey of Lee Harvey Oswald and his shadowy handlers, and to the winding road in Dallas where an ambush awaited the president's motorcade. As Douglass convincingly documents, at every step along the way, these forces of the Unspeakable were present, moving people like pawns on a chessboard to promote a dangerous and deadly agenda.

"The best account I have read of this tragedy and its significance.... But don’t take my word for it. Read this extraordinary book and reach your own conclusions." (Oliver Stone)

Awesome Book!!!

This book opens the listener up to unimaginable revelations about JFK. It goes into great depth into answering the question of why as well as how he was killed. The only draw back I found with the book is it seemed very mixed up. One minute your in 1963 and then your back in 1960; it jumps back and fourth through most of the book.

This book explains what really happened to JFK

Upon reading this book you will have precise answers to who really killed JFK. This book brings out the ugly truth about how our own government decides to eliminate JFK. Some of the ones responsible are still alive today, and after reading this book you will be shocked at how all the evidence points to a conspiracy deep within the US government that is still operating today.

Very interesting take

This book is about JFK's policy changes that lead to his death. It talkes in detail about the CIA's interest in his death and what is known of Oswald's and Ruby's part in it. Really makes you wonder about the politics of today...

It all makes sense

Peace doesn’t make billionaires…war and unrest does. Those who make unfathomable amounts of money have all the power. To silence, to bury, to narrate what they want us to believe is the truth. It’s pretty scary.

Interesting fact filled book

This is packed with facts that tie up so many loose ends. Why after all the years is the CIA unwilling to admit they were complicit? Is it because what is left of our faith in the government will erode further? It is disheartening to know that our government would kill a president that was legitimately elected. Very sad…

Wow! Everybody Needs to Hear this!

I have always been intrigued by the coverup surrounding Jfk's assasination. It happened when I was very young but I remember seeing the clips on the news over and over again when it happened. It rang of deception to me. It made me suspicious how long the investigation went on and that it was so secretive not wanting to share the truth with people. This audio book uncovers all the coverups. It is very interesting. I like the very end that offers hope and solutions. World Peace is achiveable and possible but not the way this corrupt system is. The time for change is long overdue... When people see this is twenty two hours long that may put them off listening to the whole thing...there should be a Readers Digest Condensed version so people can at least get the gist of it without going into too much detail. I like the summary at the very end...maybe if they listen to the end first they will be curious to hear the entire thing. My gut feeling was that it was an inside job being covered up and turns out I was right...Trust your intuition...If something feels wrong or suspicious trust that it is. Listen to the whole thing. It is definitely worth your time especially if you want to know what really happened. I highly recommend it and highly recommend speaking out about the truth until things inevitably change for the better.

Eye opening

This book was really good. I got the recommendation from an RFK Jr interview he mentioned the book. This book makes use of documents released up to the time of writing to put more context around the assassination, the activity of the cia and FBI. These corrupt forces are still around. They took out Trump with political assassination with made up stories and propaganda. Now watch as they dispose of their puppet Biden

Go Figure!!!

I always liked Thomas Merton but had never known he predicted JFK’s murder or that there is some thought that he himself would be ‘taken out’.
An amazing believable account.
I remember living through the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Hopes we had of Kennedy ending the war in Vietnam….
