A good collection of original source interviews and factual details, Three Shots Rang Out is a summary of the very basic facts from the JFK assassination. None of the intrigue or speculations are included, just the facts as they are known and can be revealed with the originally aired broadcasts. 

I enjoyed hearing the radio broadcasts all in one place like this. It gives no new informations, but rather info that may have been left out of the pieces we've heard over the years. This Audible original is 2 hours long, and was one of the free documents on Audible.

History Redux

Would you try another book from Darren Reynolds and/or Diane Sawyer?

If there are audiobooks similar to this one about other historical events, I'd be interested in listening to them.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked hearing real clips about the assassination and subsequent details. I am impressed that someone thought to make that footage available because it covers the period prior to the conspiracy theories and Warren Report. Most interviews are reactions unsullied by history. The sound quality was poor in some areas, but this is to be expected with old audio files.

Difficult To Follow A TV Show In This Format

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This is not a book; it is an audio transcription of a TV show. As such, it refers to images and graphics which the listener obviously cannot see. I'd not really recommend this book, unless you (like me) are already deeply familiar with the JFK murder and want some extra info.

It put me there! Very informative. Wish it never happened. Diane Sawyer has an amazing voice and I'll be looking for more by her.

Adding absolutely nothing to our knowledge of the assassination, it is not particularly clear to me why this 'special' exists other than as a way to earn money.

just a compilation of data that can easily be found by anyone with access to goggle.

The story is well told, but it's about as true as the bible is... maybe 20% history and 80% rectal suppository...

CBS did a much better job of bring more of the people into the mix. This was a dull - no energy from any of the presenters as they seemed to just be reading a daily weather report.

Would you ever listen to anything by Darren Reynolds again?

Never would I listen to any of these folks again.
