"Wow...This book will change & heal your life!"
If you could sum up You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio) in three words, what would they be?

I happened upon this recording on youtube and loved it so much I wanted to take it along with me for any opportunity to help "heal" my life. Louise's voice is soothing and each time I listen I get another useful nugget of information.

    "Transformative"
What made the experience of listening to You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio) the most enjoyable?

I have attended a Unity church in the past. I am not entirely new to the idea that one's thoughts and deep-seated beliefs create one's experience in life. However, this audio book has helped me put this into practice in my life in new ways. I was looking for some healing guided meditations as I was just about to have surgery. This is not guided meditation but it has been incredibly good for me. It has helped me work through a lot of junk from the past (still a work in progress) and let go of old feelings/thoughts/beliefs/patterns that were not serving me, and I believe, were actually making me physically sick. I have listened many times, and as time has gone by, I feel more empowered than ever to shape my own destiny.

"This book is written to be used by all"
Would you listen to You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio) again? Why?

Yes! Yes! Yes! You see, this book is one of the few which is based on the iconic self-study course "A course in miracles". The original course is very heavy. The language and the ideas are written in an academic writing style. When I first heard the text I was amazed but also felt a little helpless. The ideas are so different and the language makes it a job understanding it. It sent me on a journey looking for a teacher. There are many. And they make a lot of money. This is where this comes in: Unlike other skilled teachers Louise use a daily language. No foregin words. This book helps you dare to think about trying to think differently. If you have not read the course itself please buy this gem. Like a safety blanket this removes a lot of fear and since love does not dissolve but it is hidden behind fear. I do not like regulær self-help books but titles based on the course are not your regular self-help. I love miracles changing from fear to love.

This book is like a pearl: Everyone can use and enjoy it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio)?

The book is a moment: Everything makes perfectly good sense.

Have you listened to any of Louise L. Hay’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No. She is truly genuine.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The healing you find within yourself.

    Any additional comments?

    Amazingly compact. Fantastic!

What was one of the most memorable moments of You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio)?

Louise's voice is very soothing and I like what she is saying about life and its challenges
and how we can change just by changing our thoughts not allows an easy thing but it
can be done with practice and that is what I have been doing and noticing alittle bit
of change happening within myself. I will continue to practice until it becomes second nature
    for me.

"Louise is my hero, i love her so much"
Would you consider the audio edition of You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio) to be better than the print version?

Absolutely better...hearing her beautiful, soothing voice is deliciously calming. Also, having
her speak the words, allows me to close my eyes and relax into it.
She does guided meditations which are impossible to execute if you have to read them.
This way i relax my body and just follow her guidance...incredible

What was one of the most memorable moments of You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio)?

In truth, I have read the book many times since I was a teen. This experience of listening, rather than reading is the best of all...the whole book is amazing, can't point to a special moment.

What about Louise L. Hay’s performance did you like?

Her voice, her integrity which comes thru, she's just being herself which is an honor to experience.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no...I don't want it to end and like to listen to it when I can follow the exercises.
I actually have to tear myself away.

    "Out there!"
What would have made You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio) better?

Far fetched ideas of health issues and treatment for such issues. It can't hurt to be optimistic and happy but this is definitely out there!

    "Worth the purchase"
Where does You Can Heal Your Life (Unabridged, Adapted for Audio) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Any time an audio book is read by the author I am more inclined to buy it, as it changes the final product in a major way. In this case I thoroughly enjoyed hearing her message and think she offers a great approach to life. Her info is not new to me but it reinforces much of what I know to be true. I do not really agree with her take on the list of diseases and ailments and how they all have psychological roots to be explored; in fact I found it a bit ridiculous. There is certainly a connection with ailments and our beliefs but she makes it seem too straight forward. Nothing is that straight forward. Yet her book is still worth a listen. Well done, good food for thought, and quite a bit of wisdom.

    "I love this book"

This book belongs in the library of any respectable self help addict. It's one of those books that can truly help you if you're feeling down. If you like The Secret and are open minded or into The Science Of Mind, it's a great book.

    "An oldie but a goody"

This book may be quite old now but the ideas and sugguestions in this book are as helpful today as when this book was first published/ recorded

The sound quality is reasonable but she does make reference to it being a tape rathan it being an audiobook!

Her words can be useful and comforting at almost anytime. Although I don't agree with all of her suggestions/ ideas. However, as she says if there is only one idea that helps you improve your life then that is good enough.
