"Her delivery is clear and energetic. Her voice and speech are conversational. No matter what bias one brings to the listening, the material offers much to think about." (AudioFile)
I first discovered this book when I was just 15 years old. Now nearly 15 years later I find myself drawn back to it as if rediscovering it for the first time. The methods are simple. That's the best part. Life is complicated enough how lucky that the methods to heal and live a more joyous, healthy, loving life are very simple basic steps that you only have to do in order to see results❤️
I loved this book! Louise hits on so many points that I could totally relate too. I almost felt as if the book were written just for me.
I have attended a Unity church in the past. I am not entirely new to the idea that one's thoughts and deep-seated beliefs create one's experience in life. However, this audio book has helped me put this into practice in my life in new ways. I was looking for some healing guided meditations as I was just about to have surgery. This is not guided meditation but it has been incredibly good for me. It has helped me work through a lot of junk from the past (still a work in progress) and let go of old feelings/thoughts/beliefs/patterns that were not serving me, and I believe, were actually making me physically sick. I have listened many times, and as time has gone by, I feel more empowered than ever to shape my own destiny.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to forgive themselves and others for past hurt and move on and create a better future life.
This book makes you think about your own life and people in it.
There is a lot to learn about one's self in this book. I listen to this again and again to remind myself of who I am when things go tough, or simply when I go back to the old habits. I did learn to love myself after listening to this book.
Very soothing voice. Sharing her experiences, and citing everyday life experiences made it easy for me to understand and relate, thus, understanding my situations better.
I didn't believe, initially, about the 'mirror work'. I didn't try it on the second listen when it was suggested that we do the exercises. When I finally had the time, it was a very moving experience. I did cry. It made me realize 'I am also a person who needed exactly the same things I am giving to everyone else in my life.'
If you would like to discover yourself, or are going through tough times in life, help yourself and listen to this book. It will help.
I must say the universe really wanted me to read this book. Colleague told me about it. I wrote it on a sticky pad. Never paid mind to it. However, it kept appearing I'm different places (the sticky note). One day I find a meet up group and they were showing a screening of a movie. When I saw the title, it was "You can heal your life" by Louise L. Hay. I was surprised, but realized it was a sign. Met the group saw the movie, which was great. However, I felt I needed to read the book. I purchased it and it was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I had several break through moments. It literally healed me a great deal. I recommended to everyone.
