I was a little skeptical about beginning yoga. Where to start, what does it involve, etc. This guide really helped put my questions in perspective. This guide teaches you not only yoga positions, but also the health and mental benefits that doing yoga allows. If you thought that yoga was basically a religion based exercise program, then you need to read this guide and see how wrong you were. This guide teaches you that yoga is more about your state of mind and overall health. This informative guide takes you from the benefits of yoga and goes all the way through the most popular poses. A must read for any yoga beginner.
Exceptional introduction, explicates several types of yoga and some of the essential poses. It was understandable and provides important details. Honestly, I had fun with the straightforwardness of this yoga book. This book is very much appreciated.
Listening to Yoga: An Absolute Yoga for Beginners Guide has been most enjoyable especially since I am just a beginner. Sam Siv's comprehensive guide is easy to follow in order to promote better physical health, as well as mental and spiritual benefits.
I actually liked the part that involves lessons about vinyasa and explained how specific poses can help with maintaining one's body figure and help find deeper connection to your well-being.
I was a bit nervous to start getting into Yoga because it seemed like everything was so advanced; almost as if you needed to know what you were doing to do it. I then decided to pick up this audio-book because there were a lot of great reviews from beginners. I went ahead and gave it a shot and I am so glad that I did. I was reassured that there is nothing wrong with starting as a beginner and that Yoga isn't as intimidating as I had thought. I learned a lot of great techniques and most importantly how to start my Yoga journey. This is a great listen (especially because of Ambyr Rose) and I highly recommend it.
