    "Good Overview Of Plan"

    Even though this selection is abridged, I think it did a good job of explaining what the South Beach Diet is about. (Eating the right carbs) This book didn't really teach me anything new that I haven't already learned from other low-carb plans. But I did find it interesting and I discovered a few new recipe ideas for eating low-carb.

    "SBD easy , controls weight, gives energy"

    The South Beach Diet rules are easy to follow. After years of yo-yo weight struggle, learning its principles has made it easy for me to control my weight. With more energy on the diet due to the types of food and without feelings of hunger (with the frequent, but healthy snacking) I am eating less and feeling more satified than when I ate more. Even with young children and an unpredictable schedule this is a very doable and healthy approach to eating that I depend on daily for well-being and weight control.

    "Easy, quick listen and it works."

    I read this book about 5 years back and have done the diet twice (which worked). Over time I had forgotten it and gone back to bad habits and started gaining weight again. Even though I know the basics, I bought the audiobook as a reminder/freshen up on the details.
    This diet works, and most of the info here is good (I do not agree with it all, for example he uses fake sugar replacement in place of sugar when having a treat, and I know that ingredient is an appetite stimulant and possibly a cause of serious health concerns).

    But overall, the foods he eliminates and slowly incorporates back in is not rocket science but I think accurate, and like I said, followed exactly, it works.

    If this approach is new to you, you may want to grab a hard copy of the recipe book too...or google ideas for what to eat with the foods allowed.

    Note - he cuts out fruit the first 2 weeks, which I dont 100% agree with for health reasons, but it does make a difference in the first phase in getting over sugar cravings and stimulating weight loss. You incorporate some back in after the first 2 weeks.

    I dont know how great this would be for vegan's though, a lot of the diet is based around proteins.

    Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to quickly learn about the South Beach Diet. this book contains lots of good information

    I could read/listen/learn very quickly. it only took 2 hrs.

    The audio book does not have suggested foods. You still need to buy the book. But you will really want the book when using the program for daily or as need review.
