I thought there might be some interesting facts about different eating types, and there are, somewhere. I just hate the constant statement that you need to "be smart" suggesting that somehow you might be stupid if you're fat. Not motivating in the least. The brain information is so superficial, it was hardly worth it. Most of the book consists of comments from people who've followed this program, anecdotes about football players and this "be smart to loose weight" sort of thing. Eh, not for me.
I like the Dr. Watched him on public TV and was impressed with his theories. Unfortunately, it is difficult to listen to on audio. I would have wanted to take notes and highlight things that apply to me. Would have been better to buy the book.

I found a lot of common things we can find in several articles. The details were repetitive but there wasn't really a stuff that could make a real change in my understanding.
I'm losing weight the right way! Brain typing makes so much sense! We all know that people have very different personalities, yet there are many similarities and patterns. Dr. Amen has merged the idea of looking at what part of your brain is over-active or under-active with what drives you to eat! Or more importantly, what can help you stop over-eating.
Reading about vitamin D and weight loss just underscored the importance of covering all the basics of nutrition and your body functioning optimally for weight loss to occur.
I've heard Dr. Amen speak. I think Marc Cashman captures Dr. Amen's style fairly well.
I have learned from and enjoyed Dr. Amen's work for a few years now and mostly I just feel a deep satisfaction because Dr. Amen's work makes so much sense. I first saw Dr. Amen present this material on a video and wanted to get the book for further learning and as a reference.
