I think a lot is missed in the Audible version, i.e. diagrams, links, etc. I also purchased the book for reference and am quickly going through it now that I finished the audio.
I really appreciate Tim's take on life - question everything to find a better way. I listened to the whole thing straight through without taking notes or acting on anything. Just wanted to hear it all first. Now, i'm going to listen to it with the intention of trying a few things that really stood out to me.
One note, I have tried the lentils for breakfast thing based on one of Tim's podcasts I recently listened to. It's unbelievable the additional energy and focus I've had throughout the day with this being the only change.
Far from an "uncommon guide to rapid fat-loss, incredible sex and becoming super human". The majority of the book (including 100% of the 1st 8 chapters of the audio book) are filler (zero constructive content) and the audio is missing many of the hardback's chapters. Truly disappointing and a waste of my 4-hours of listening.
I enjoyed listening to the various studies performed and scientific facts. This book explains certain things we thought we understood and things we know nothing about.
Ferriss' books are intriguing; this is no exception. However the narrator for this audio version is not a good narrator- he has a bad sense of cadence and intonation, and some bad pronunciation.
Transform yourself into a superhuman.. What else can I say? This has tips and tricks for you to lose body fat, weight gain and achieve a lot more regular everyday needs with your body. A must read for every man on earth!
Husband, father, son, brother, occasional book reader. Avid book listener. I have written two books about real estate. I have a blog.
I like Timothy Ferris. This is the second book of his that I have read. I went through this now three times to get all the content.
I think the brook would have been better reading than listening.
Yes, the narration is well done.
It would make a good documentary.
None at this time.
Well, i would say that along with Mr Jim Rohn, the great business philospher, tim has a special place in my audio library along with denis waitley, les brown and such great paradigme shifters.
Yes i would definitely be willing to try the 4HWW or the 4HC.
not relevant here it is a non fiction book
Becoming superhuman one step at a time
The content was interesting but I felt it leaned more to interesting anecdote than research. Perhaps in text format this is handled by footnotes. There's a lot of research in this area and I'm not inclined to believe that everyone has it wrong but the author.
While I don't doubt the effectiveness of the prescription this lack of backing lead me to doubt many of the fantastic assertions with regard to rate of muscle gain or caloric burn.
