While this isn't a "Riveting" read, I did find this book extremely encouraging. It's very nice to hear about foods that you should eat instead of all the dangers in the food you've already eaten. The author breaks down medical research into very understandable terms, and I finally truly understand what all the buzz about anti-oxidants and free radicals is about.
The reader's voice is a little stiff, but given the topics he does a good job. I'll defininately buy a companion recipe book to go with this - but I know I never would have finished reading this book in hard copy. Thank goodness for audio-books!
If you're looking for simple and sane ways to sneak some healthy food into your life, this is the easiest approach that's come along in a long time. After hearing how significantly simple foods can combat aging, vision problems, cancer and other diseases - you'll definatly revamp your grocery list.
Not much here that my wife hasn't already told me, but all very good info with facts and figures to back it up.
It would be a 5 star but for all the repetion.

I'll make this short and sweet - both the book and the narrarator are fantastic. If you are looking for a book detailing the nutrient value, research data, and practical tips for using these foods in your diet - this is your book. Easy to understand, yet very detailed in the nutritional background for each food - this book is both understandable and educational.
Even though I already know a lot about cancer fighting foods, etc., I like that this audiobook goes into detailed explanations of each food. I found it interesting and informative. I've heard conflicting evidence though about soy being a super food, which the author includes on the list. Also, there is not much discussion on healthy fats - virgin coconut oil, butter, omega-3/grass fed animal fats, etc. Most of this and additional information, I also found online. But, it's nice to also have something to listen to, for multitasking. Other books I've found helpful are "Deep Nutrition: Why Your Genes Need Traditional Food" and authors Weston A. Price and Sally Fallon. Via audible.com, I've found "Omnivore's Dilemma" and "In Defense of Food" to be very helpful, especially, in understanding the context of food.

A common sense book on easy to find foods that will change your health if you eat them in adequate amounts. It's quite interesting to read what is that such and such food makes it such a powerful nutrient (like Spinach).
This is an excellent book and the information on both of them has enabled me to improve my eating habits dramatically. It is presented with scientific facts but is very easy to understand and to implement into daily life. I highly recommend it.
I've listened to several audio books on nutrition and Super Foods was the best by a mile. It's straight forward and contains the most usefull information that I've seen so far. Covers all the foods proven to be the most beneficial and nutritious, all based on studies and research, but really to the point. Unlike some books that are 60% jibber jabber, this audio book is 100% real info. Wish I listened to it earlier in life.

14 foods and talking too much. I'd better listen about other 14 foods than too many details. Other part Healthstyle is a bit better.
