After listening to The Power of Cellular Nutrition, many skeptics, as Dr. Ladd McNamara was himself originally, have opened themselves to the possibility that quality nutritional supplements may indeed be an important part of a healthy lifestyle program. It is important to eat right, exercise, get regular sleep, and reduce stress and exposure to toxic substances. However, Dr. Ladd McNamara makes the case that historically, medical doctors have not been taught to recommend quality nutritional supplements to their patients and are therefore inherently skeptical of the idea of nutritional supplements despite years of favorable medical studies.
Medical education has focused on the treatment of disease with drugs...and there is certainly a place for medications. However, if we take precautions, change our lifestyles, and take quality supplements, we can promote health and hopefully reduce the need for medications and their inherent risks. Heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, respiratory disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and many other chronic degenerative diseases, including the acceleration of the aging process (which is related to the disease process), have a common link: excessive oxidative damage to cells, DNA, protein, lipids, cholesterol, and all other tissues throughout the body. Reduce oxidation, and you will help maintain and optimize cellular functioning.
Quality supplements - antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids - along with a healthy diet and exercise program make sense. Dr. McNamara's audiobook will inspire and motivate you regarding supplements. Dr. McNamara wants you to experience the true power of cellular nutrition.
