This is a helpful book to make you mindful about your diet. The techniques are really simple and practical to take yourself out of the negativeness. So be mindful and enjoy your diet and life.
The content is fine. Nothing mind blowing, but a few insights that I found valuable enough to make the purchase seem worthwhile. However, it was very difficult to get into a space where I could hear the message through the narrator's performance. She sounded like she was reading a story to a kindergartener...slow, emphasis on random words and sing-song tones. Like the woman we all know that spoke to us like we were toddlers when we were teenagers. You know what I'm talking about. If you can get into a zone, it is possible to absorb the message, but I couldn't listen to this book when I was feeling agitated in any way, because then I couldn't get past it.
I think many people have issues with overeating. This audiobook is really excellent because it explores non-traditional reasons for why you might be having such problems, and uses mindfulness as a technique to improve your relationship with food and thus have a more relaxed approach to eating, and therefore lose excess weight.
