Publisher's summary

You probably already know all the obvious health and weight loss tips...so why don't you have your dream body?

What one early reviewer has already said has "transformed my life more than any other book I've read on the subject", Master the Day is a different way to think about getting the health, body, and life you want - by changing tiny habits, no matter what diet you're on.

In Master the Day, you'll learn:

  • The nine daily success habits of people that lost over 100+ pounds in a healthy way, and kept it off years later
  • The four horsemen of the health apocalypse - what simple, overlooked habits cause repetitive failure no matter how many diets we try
  • Unlimited motivation - the willpower and discipline myth: How to be healthier with less discipline, and without all the "fitspiration" rah-rah motivational junk.
  • How not having weight loss goals can actually make you more successful - without the constant guilt, self-hatred and frustration

Very practical things and useful concepts

In general, the concepts are very practical and it breaks down things in a very understandable way. It doesn't give us the "secret to success" but is blunt in saying there's no secret, just systems.

This book doesn't try to motivate you to buy some course or lead you on into another product, but instead delivers value from the get go.

I liked the fact that it was read by Alexander himself, rather than some other narrator. It added some personal feel to it, especially since I've followed his YouTube channel for a while now.

Really worth the purchase.

A Weight-Loss Book About Much More than Weight Loss

Heyne’s book, only five and a half hours long on Audible, is both inspirational and affirming to the reader. The author talks about his own struggles as well as the struggles of his many friends and clients, and he is sympathetic to his readers without babying them. His book holds that, rather than simply “eat less and move more,” as most diet books preach, one must actually observe and change one’s mindset before one can actually make great change. And how is this change achieved? Through small, daily habits, which actually feel good to accomplish, rather than dreaded through and through. If you want a book that will really make you seriously consider what you want and who you want to be in life and then inspire you to get that life through small daily actions, then this is the book for you.

Potentially life changing material

If you could sum up Master the Day in three words, what would they be?

Potentially life changing

Who was your favorite character and why?

My self because at each step you analyze your own personal habits and narrative.

Which character – as performed by Alexander Heyne – was your favorite?

Alexander Heyne

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No because you need to absorb the material and apply it

Any additional comments?

I love this book because you can immediately apply it's lessons. The lesson I like best is that you start of with as little of one minute a day of your new habit or ritual and continue to engrain it in your life from there. It is so empowering because I feel I can pick up a new habit easily and feel like I can conquer the world.

This is a book I want to engrain the lessons in my life. I have picked up a lot on the first listen but this is one of those books I wanna listen again and again so that I apply even more of it in daily life.

I call it potentially life changing because we will have to see if within a 100 days I actually changed my poor habits into healthy ones. I definitely believe the lessons in this book have the potential to do so.
