The legs are muscles we use everyday regardless of what occupation you have. There main purpose is to support the upper body, provide stability, and allows you to not have to frigging crawl all over the place. Ironically, are legs can do amazing things for use, but they seem to be the muscle group they receives the least attention at the gym. This article has one the most solid workouts that has been used by numerous bodybuilders because of it's ability to produce gains.
