I have not read the book, but the audio version is great. It is informative and funny and at the same time it keeps you thinking outside the box.
It makes you look at food, eating and food cravings in a completely different way. If you can make it 2 weeks, then you can do it. It works! I lost 24 pounds in the first 7 weeks and was never hungry and ate anything.
I did have an extreme reaction, but it was more like excitement.... I have never read a weight loss book that I actually thought I could do. I love Pizza, I love lasagne, so I thought I could not do it, then I realized it wasn't the bread or the pasta I loved, it was what was on them. What a way to look at food and really enjoy it and never gain weight again. I eat topping off the pizza and throw the crust away. What a concept, and have salad with it. I have never been happier
Just open your mind and try it if you have been a yoyo dieter forever like I have.
It started out as a funny story and I had high hopes for it, but the author did a little too much bashing of everyone else, including his own acquaintances (who hopefully didn't hear this book). I was really disappointed, especially when it had no tips for women and turned out to be just another high protein/low carb push.
He insults a lot of people, didn't seem necessary to me, made him lose credibility with me.
He has a good sense of humor and a good sounding voice, he should have focused on his assets.

Yes I think so, but I would make sure it was new stuff, not repackaged old stuff just with a different title. This is Fat Guy Friday just under a different title, extremely disappointing and waste of money.
No but it has made me wary of Craig's books. He has a lot of repetition in all his work, it gets annoying.
It's the same as his other book Fat Guy Friday, just aimed at a different demographic. Very misleading and a bit sneaky.
Craig is good, but this is a disappointing ploy to sell books. I made the mistake of buying both so my fault I guess, buyer beware.
I love the clarity and frankness of Craig Beck. He is very honest about everything we need to know about getting started and getting a person understand what needs to be done to get the job done. i appreciate his straight forward approach and not holding anything back. sometimes it takes a push to get the point across.
I'm a fan of the paleo diet and I loved hearing a true, honest version that Craig puts out there for us. we are responsible for our own weight and I myself am sick of hearing excuses as to why we are one of the fattest countries in the world. we all need to quit being whiny little bitches and take responsibility for ourselves and our health.
Yes because you can listen anytime. His voice is very convincing and his stories hit home. He is able to take complex nutritional jargon and make it very simple to understand.
I've read dozens upon dozens of "diet" books from celebrity weight loss trainers, PHDs, life coaches, chefs, etc and all had short term benefits. Craig Beck's Fat Girl Friday actually made me change my habits and understand how simple it is to lose weight and keep it off long term.
Craig Beck brings humor and guidance without ever sounding flat, boring, elitest, or condescending. He sounds like a big brother who is just looking out for his friends and extended family. Reading the book is fine but only 1 dimensional, listening to the audio really brings it home.

This books rockets you into action, into reality. The indepth informational facts are so thought provoking, scary yet refreshing.

I found this book easy to listen to, very witty, realistic and a good motivator. It didn't take long to get through it, never got bored as I did with other diet books. first day putting it into practice, not finding it difficult in fact I'm full up all day. .will post again after 1 month to show the progress.
