The guiding voice is great - soothing and hypnotic. The visualizations are pleasant and the music is gentle and nice. I usually do end up falling asleep but I spend the first bit of the exercise (after the intro), wondering why it has started in first person. The narrator is telling me about his relaxing trip to the beach and I keep thinking “aren’t you supposed to be guiding me…hey wait…I wanna go too. After a bit it switches to second person. I’m inclined to skip the first part but when trying to relax…it seems too distracting. The narrator’s voice is wonderful, I just would like him to be talking to me.
The narrators voice is soothing. This was obviously written in a different language (German?) then translated (POORLY) into English. Some sentences don't make sense, but I can usually make my brain interpret what I think they were trying to say, and it still works.
I like the beach visual for calming. Wording is poor...
Often even before the narrator is finished, and it's a short listen. There is something about this man's voice that is soothing and hypnotic. Add that to the background, the visualizing and the instructions, and I'm lulled to sleep every time. This book does its job very well.
