I was given the opportunity to purchase this audio book at a discount for my honest opinion. A short time ago I had purchased the ebook, so when this audio became available I jumped for it. This is such a brilliant audio recipe book! I like that the dash diet is explained clearly on how it works to make one lose weight. This guide provides tasty, easy-to-prepare healthy recipes that are sure to put your “diet” dreads to rest to calorie counting, label scrutiny and food deprivation. “Dash Diet for Beginners” is a logical, easy-to-follow guide. It’s a plan that you can easily do at your own pace, by simply implementing better food choices into your diet. I highly recommend this book in any format!
Valerie Child's and Joy Louis have really outdone themselves with this one. Such great tips and insight. I know that I'll be cooking these scrumptious, yet healthy recipes for a while.
As with all books by both ladies, there's always a great bit of insight into why following a certain diet regimen will benefit your health. This is no different. Jessica Bellinger does a great job of bringing the book to life and I can't wait to see what they come up with next!
Yes I would, because the information about how to change what you are currently doing with your eating habits is useful for everyone. Even someone who claims or looks to be "healthy".
I like how strait forward and easy way the author presented the information. I've heard bits and peaces of this info before and hearing it presented in an audio book and the way it was organized made it make more sense to me. It was easier to understand and pick out things I can really do to change.

Yes it was, it is a nice short book close to two hours long. If your going on a walk/jog or little exercise thing you could listen to this while doing that or maybe you are doing some work you can listen to something while doing. I like to multi task while listening to ebooks. This was defiantly one of the books I would want to listen to all at once.
The concept of this diet is not new, but the author presented it in a simple way which is easy to understand and follow. The Dash diet is great against high blood pressure and cholesterol which I luckily don't have, but I know I don't want it! The book also provides a great meal plan where you don't have to starve yourself to achieve desired results. I highly recommend this audio book if you want a diet plan for your healthier lifestyle.
I have had high blood pressure since I was 32 and I've tried many different diet plans before this one. What I like about the Dash diet is that I actually enjoy being on it, because I don't feel hungry at all. I have so much more energy for my cardio exercises and my blood pressure is slightly lower than before. Narration of the book is great, which means much to me because I am not a native English speaking person. 5 stars for this audiobook!
This audio book wonderfully explains what is the Dash diet and why it is working. There is a lot of helpful info on blood pressure, cholesterol and healthy eating habits. The meal plan is realistic and recipes provided are easy to make using a real food that I can prepare by myself. I began with this diet 3 weeks ago, and since then I lost about 10 pounds, but more importantly I feel much better.
