This is one of those audiobooks that you actually WANT to listen to all in one sitting. Listen to the whole thing and do the exercises. You will not be disappointed.
I found myself bursting with clear energy and peace of mind after practicing these techniques and listening to the music... yes there is some nice calming music.
Definately worth checking out if interested in breathing practices. I've been using the practices and find very rewarding.
This book was very informative and helpful. Not a "read it once and put it down book". This is an everyday instruction manual. I loved it.
I usually resist anything that sounds too new age-y, and often times breathing meditation guides tend to veer in that direction. But Andrew Weil presents the material like a doctor would, highlighting how the breathwork relates to overall health and the nervous system. And through this, he gently opens doors to a deeper spiritual connection. His voice is soothing, and the tempo of the breathing exercises is excellent. Highly recommend it.
I purchased the book hoping for help with panic and anxiety. All through the first chapter and most of the second were stories of people who had been helped. I kept thinking "I want to be one of these people who gets help" at the end (the last say 25 minutes) he introduced his 478 breathing technique so that is why I still gave 5 stars.
This book was extremely informative, and fairly simple to comprehend. The breathing techniques were well described and easy to follow. I only wish this audiobook was broken up into more than two chapters so I could easily skip to the individual breathing techniques. "Peaceful" is the word I would use to describe how I feel after practicing the techniques in this book. Short and sweet. My most influential purchase on Audible yet. Thanks Doc!
