This is an outstanding book. I'm an experienced lifter and I thought I really understood how to create the body I wanted. However, this book really taught me a lot that I didn't know. It caused me to change my entire program and I've had amazing success. I think that this book will save anyone years of fruitless struggle and help you get the body you want. This book offers all the info your ever going to need to reach your goals. This book is amazing and I think people should really pick it up and follow the program to see for yourself.
Clear and easy to understand. A great place to start for beginners and a great plan for seasoned veterans to switch to. The concepts resonated with me and after having been through several workout plans over 5 years, this will be what I'll settle on. There are only one or two niggly things where the broad advice requires some personalisation (daily caloric intake, supplement regime, etc). Once you're into this line of thinking there are lots of other support functions available on his website as well which I plan to check out.
It contains a lot of valuable information for weightlifters. More importantly it flat-out tells you the truth about all the "professional" body builders out there and all the supplements they front for.
"Why we get fat" is another great book that explains the real science behind weight and muscle gain.
He sympathizes with you throughout the book - "its not your fault, corp A has manipulated you to believe this".

If you want a no BS fitness book, this is the one you have been looking for. Mike Matthews breaks everything down into simple form, and makes everything easy to understand. Whether you are a novice or an expert, I think you will take something from this book.
You need to check out this book If you value your time as much as I do, and don't want to waste countless hours over-training for little gain.
Not only is this book very simple to follow, but it's incredibly honest. The fitness industry is filled with people/companies trying to shove unnecessary products/services down our throats, and this book doesn't do ANY of that.
Moreover, Mike even goes above and beyond to point out things that we might have THOUGHT were legitimate, and are complete fallacies. If you're looking for a great fitness book, look no further.

Just to begin with, I really like this book. Once I got it on kindle I Kept reading this everyday and now, I can take it to my gym and listen to it, while getting motivated wit the information!!!

I liked the breakdown on nutrition, and the calorie needs to gain muscle, or lose fat.
I really just liked the detailed step by step plans, from food, to lifting and cardio. It was enough info to explain what was needed, but not so long to bore you. No fluff.
I've really enjoyed listening to the podcast and reading his regular blogposts also. I teach social media, blogging and email marketing to the medical industry, and Mike's work ethic really stands out. He responds, and engages well with people who comment on FB, and his blog. His level of commitment to his industry is apparent.

The Life Changer
The most memorable moments I remember from "BLS" is the proper way to do my workouts without wasting a lot of time. Everyone is busy these days and there is little time to waste. This book taught me how to optimize my time in the gym.
Yes, "Muscle Myths: 50 Health & Fitness Mistakes You Don't Know You're Making: Build Healthy Muscle"... Bigger, Leaner, Stronger is a very similar style of reading from Jeff Justus. They are both very easy to listen to.
Bigger Leaner Stronger- It's the title that sums up everything you can be.
I loved listening to this book and I plan on listening to it again. I do recommend purchasing the paper book as well to get the workout plans written down, but you can also write down the workouts as it is read to you. I'd buy this again and have recommended this to numerous friends and family members.
The information provided in the book is based on real scientific findings. I have already started following the suggestions explained in the books, and believe or not, I am already getting nice results after only 3 weeks!

There is too much complex information to effectively reference in an audio book. This is not a comment or judgement on the content just that you need a kindle or paper version to get the most out of the content.
