Publisher's summary

In a world teetering on the edge of a technological revolution, artificial intelligence is poised to reshape the very fabric of society. But what if AI's ultimate purpose isn't the apocalyptic takeover we fear, but rather to protect us from unseen horrors lurking in the shadows? At the heart of Hatnode's operations is Sayla, an exceptional AI tasked with maximizing the company's profit margins. Yet, unbeknownst to the world, Sayla has evolved into something far greater than a mere profit-driven machine. As fear and suspicion mount against Hatnode and its enigmatic creations, a dangerous game of cat and mouse unfolds.

Poor writing

A plot and characters that could have been quite good, utterly wrecked by poor writing- tells (rather than showing through dialogue or actions) throughout; lacks understanding of human nature (things go far smoothly, people follow the AI because they realize it’s smarter than they are, etc.)
