When Hansel and Gretel, in disgrace for mucking about, are sent into the woods they fall into the hands of an evil witch. She enchants the two children and wants to roast and eat them. The siblings Hansel manage to save their lives by tricking the witch and push the old woman into her own oven. The children escape and are reunited with their parents.
