Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
I'm a raw cadet at the tough Warrior Academy on Haden. I've made it this far. . . barely. I know I just survived the assassination attempts by the alien pirates - authorized BY MY parents, the Emperor and Empress of the galactic Hoganthan Empire, but puleeeze, really? They had my brother sign the death decree? Really? And now, the only place I'm safe - uh, yeah, that IS a relative term - is the Warrior Academy as a rank, raw, untested cadet - the only place the House elites have limited reach. Well, yeah, but that doesn't stop them from trying to reach across space and kill me there, too. I...

Story
A broken ship. No way to get home. A species of hive warriors wants them for food. With their ship damaged by intense battle, they land on a distant, uninhabited planet and discover a single, ancient artifact - a ringed fortress of unknown purpose buried deep inside a mountain. Inside the fortress, they discover what may be a portal to a new world - too good to be believed. Really liked the story overall
Did not like AI narration, mispronunciation of words and little emotion in story told, would have much better with a real person narrative

Not a fan of the Virtual.
The story was good but I feel like I missed something, I don't know it this book is part of a series is metioned but it refered to passed events like we should already know the history.
The Virtual reading was flat with no personality. The narrator voice didn't match the character and it made it hard to really get into the story. That Virtual might be better for a history, or biography or something else without different characters or that does need emotions to be expressed. I don't think I'd buy a book 2 for this story with Virtual voice.
