A beautiful finish to the duet

Well written, full of twists, and just a fantasy YA novel. I especially enjoyed the end but I don’t want to spoil it so you’ll just have to read to find out! The narration is smooth like in the first novel and while some leaps are taken in this final book, the overall story is very entertaining while also thought provoking in how actions are perceived by others as well as how your own perspective can grow and change.

Highly recommend (don’t skip the first book or you’ll be SO LOST)

Truly Awesome Series!

I read Finding Dei about a year ago but 12 months and 100 books later I realized I only recalled snippets of the book. So I re-listened to it. I am glad I did! It was a really good book then and a really good book again. It was very satisfying to roll right from book 1 to book 2 and the story flowed smoothly together. The characters are well developed and brought to life by Tanya Eby as if she knew the exact voice David Willson had in his head! I do hope theres more though, I feel like there are a lot of places to take the Nora/Kana combo in the new world shes got to repair. So I was given this book for my thoughts and Im thinking there should be a book 3 (wink wink). Thank you for a great story!

Very entertaining

I listened to Looking for Dei about a year ago, and was so excited to see that Finding Kai is finally available as an audiobook! I really enjoyed the first story, so it was so wonderful to see the continuation of what was happening, as well as learning more about our favorite characters! I enjoyed the inner conflicts the author displayed in the characters, which made the story multi-layered and exciting to read. I also enjoyed the fun setting, and the pace at which the story went. So much happens at the end of the book, and I had to stop multi-tasking while listening so I wouldn't miss anything important. All together I really enjoyed it and would definitely look for other books put out by this author in the future :)

I received this book in exchange for an honest review, but my thoughts and opinions are entirely my own!

The story finished but not great

It seemed like there was a lot going on for this short of a book. The pacing felt rushed and the last few chapters of the book it kinda felt like the end battle has to happen but the author was just kinda done. There were definitely some good moments in the book with a perplexing question at the end. Again the story was insanely predictable but decent. The magic system broke down at the end a bit for me as Nara became infinitely powerful but with no real limit.
