He was ok. He is one of my favorite narrators. (Tom S.)
This book just didn't capture my interest like I thought it would from the description. I started listening and was uninterested from the start and just could not get in to it. It may be a good book for a lot of people but just not for me.
Charles Martin's specialty seems to be character development. The people in his novels have depth and emotion within everyday life. If you want an adventure, this isn't it. If you want to look into someone's soul, I think you'll like this book. While this is a "Christian" novel, it is not preachy.
I can't believe the ending, It made no kind of sense and left me feeling very disapointed and frustrated. I even went back to see if I missed something, a meaning an explination, something that would help me to understand the ending but to my disapointment none was found. I am however going to give the author another try, I hope I am not disapointed.
I agree the book just stops. I am wondering if part of the book is missing. The rest of it is pretty good, and I can't believe that is the end of the story. It is unresolved.
