"Not His Best, But Worth The Read"

Having listened to all of the Clancy books on Audible, I really enjoyed this one. I don't think it is his best, but still an interesting story line with a number of surprises. Clancys detailed descriptions and picture painting is always enjoyable. This book does contain lots of profanity. The "F" word abounds. I woundn't listen to is in traffic with the windows rolled down.
All in all a great listen with a great story. Kept me listening through several hours of heavy traffic.

    "Wihout remorse"

Clancy needs to publish these stories unabridged, I've read most of his books and the audio losses some of the sense of the story.

    "Great Book"

I read the book and had troubles putting it down as I was intrigued of what would happen next. One of the best books I have ever read. I make judgements if I would have the book in my library or not and I would definitely have this book in by library. It is a suspense thriller to keep you on a roller coaster ride. Well worth your money.

    "some remorse"

Enjoyed this book, my first "Listening Book" typical of Tom Clancy books I have read in the past. I did however find the narration poor especially when he reverted to female voice.

    "Heart pumping & exciting"

This book must have been one of Tom Clancy's early works, it had a good plot. The only disappointing issue was the voice of the narrator, it was lame and mono-tone.

    "Terrible abridgment; definitely get unabridged"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

I bought the abridged version by mistake and the narrator is horrible. And due to the sloppy abridgment I was often lost and didn't really care about anything going on. My fault for not checking but I seriously wonder who benefits from these abridged recordings.

What do you think your next listen will be?

any other Jack Ryan book that hasn't been abridged and performed badly.

Would you be willing to try another one of David Dukes’s performances?

    NO.

"Without Remorse by Tom Clancy review"
Would you consider the audio edition of Without Remorse to be better than the print version?

I cant answer this cause I havent read the printed issue. But enjoyed the audio version

What did you like best about this story?

The flow of the book keep you intrigued and engaged through the whole book.

What about David Dukes’s performance did you like?

His excitement in narration was one key factor in making the AUDIO very good.

If you could take any character from Without Remorse out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Popoff, Just to get into his brain and see what was there.

    Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fast moving military still activity in books. Having done time in the special forces brought back many memories from my active duty time. The book was very well organized and keep its pace and direction. Keep you wanting to hear more. This is one of Tom Clancy's better books in my mind.

A must read if you like high action with a twisted story running at the same time.

"Buckle Up and Enjoy the Ride!"

Let me begin by stating that I am a huge fan of classical literature. In fact, within my library this book is sandwiched between Dickens and Hugo.
I downloaded this book on the recommendation of a friend and was unsure if I would really like it. I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It is an excellent and extremely entertaining listen! David Dukes does an excellent job with the narration and does well to keep in good pace with the action.

I will caution the reader that this book may lead you a Tom Clancy obsession! I still love my classics, but John Clark is the man!

    "Good story, slow begining"

Good story, very slow 1st+ hour, the narrator at times was a bit boring, his military imitation was way off he should have done his homework before narrating: "... aye aye sir, the second 'aye' should sound more like ice..." This is a typical ex-military turned vigilante story, nothing special, very long.
