Publisher's summary

Bear, Otter, and the Kid survived last summer with their hearts and souls intact. They've moved into the Green Monstrosity, and Bear is finally able to admit his love for the man who saved him from himself.

But that's not the end of their story. How could it be?

The boys find that life doesn't stop just because they got their happily ever after. There's still the custody battle for the Kid. The return of Otter's parents. A first trip to a gay bar. The Kid goes to therapy, and Mrs. Paquinn decides that Bigfoot is real. Anna and Creed do... well, whatever it is Anna and Creed do. There are newfound jealousies, the return of old enemies, bad poetry, and misanthropic seagulls. And through it all, Bear struggles to understand his mother's abandonment of him and his brother, only to delve deeper into their shared past. What he finds there will alter their lives forever and help him realize what it'll take to become who they're supposed to be.

Family is not always defined by blood. It's defined by those who make us whole - those who make us who we are.

Fun Romantic Sequel

If you loved Bear, he comes back with more strength in this book. I feel TJ Klune got a great foothold here in writing his characters to be memorable and unique.

Another amazing story

The narrator is horrible. His voice grates on your nerves the whole time and he doesn’t seem to know how to form sentences correctly. That being said, Klune has done it again with a story that catches your emotions and never lets go! Worth suffering through the narration.

I laughed and I cried and I laughed again

I love this book! I found it so funny and touching. Bear's mind is a very strange place, and we get long monologues that are roll-on-the-floor funny. The narration is well done, the cadence and speed perfect for the long rambles. I did find it egregious, however, that he pronounced "egregious" wrong every time it appeared. It was jarring, and that's why I gave the narration 4 stars.

Loved it

I was hesitant to listen because of reviews disliking the narrator change. I thought he did an amazing job 😊

Great story, and Charlie David isn't horrible!

I'll start by saying I enjoyed this book almost as much as I did "Bear, Otter and the Kid." Although I missed the original narrator, and Mr. David got off to a rocky start, by chapter 2 or 3 he found the characters' voices. His Mrs. Paquin left something to be desired. He still did an amazing job of carrying the emotion of the story, and I thoroughly enjoyed his performance, on the whole.

Love the charaters - fantastic book

What made the experience of listening to Who We Are the most enjoyable?

The fact that it made me laugh so much that i cried so many times that i cant count it. The dinner scene where he spills all to the entire family is one of the funniest i have ever read.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bear - his inder monolog is absolutely amazing - and the fact that he have absolutely no filter.

What does Charlie David bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is really good in general - and makes the story come to life with the exact amount of emotion in the sentences that would not have been the same in my head

If you could take any character from Who We Are out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Bear - just to se what insane things happens

Any additional comments?

LOVE this series. Absolutely in my top three.
