Bel is in the midst of planning her perfect wedding when disaster strikes. Can she hold it all together and turn disaster into triumph? Bel's friend, ice-cream parlour owner Violet, is engaged to Glyn. But however trapped she feels, she can't quite say the words, "I don't want to marry you anymore".
Then, just when she's about to give up and resign herself to married life, she finds love in the most surprising of places. Max was planning a quick registry office do until she sees a TV programme about traveller brides and becomes determined to have the most extravagant wedding ever. But in all the excitement has she lost sight of what's really important?

Member since 2010 I suspended my account for a couple of months and audible incorrectly states I joined June 2015 crazy with 343 titles
Max she was such a strong character, altho the other two girls were good characters.
Bel's wedding surprise then Max's wedding, both surprises.
It was a perfect name for this book.
A lovely warm romantic novel just loved it. The story was good as was the narration. All Millie's books are great and it is a pity there are no more availableon Audible I much prefer to buy audiobooks but will have to go to paperbacksfor the rest of her novels.
Its an weird thing but my favourite genre to read is murder/mystery books but when it comes to audio books, I love ChicLit! Odd I know!
Really fun story about "3 brides to be" and all their problems, funny and serious. It did take me a little bit of time to really get into the story - about 40 mins or so but once I did, I was hooked. Enjoyable read and it keeps you guessing what the future to be for all three girls.
This author has me hooked. I've read or listened to four of her books now and I laugh, cry and really enjoy myself. The narrators have been excellent reading the audible version of the books. I highly recommend any Milly Johnson book. They just never disappoint.
I am a total audiobook addict! I travel quite a bit for work and listen to them while I drive. Always searching for a good author to follow
Yes I would, I love all Milly Johnson Books
It's all really good but I like it when Belle and Dan Regent get to know each other at the cottages.
She does really good accents
Another fantastic Milly Johnson book. I love her characters in all of her books, also a couple of characters from other books show up in this one.
If ur looking for an easy, good little story, this works. U kinda know how it's all going to unfold, but story ticks along quickly and keeps u entertained.
look forward to milly johnson books and once again not disapointed. laugh our loud moments and tears. a good listen
No, too many books, too little time!
She an excellent narrator!
The covers and titles of Milly Johnson's books make them look like the most sugary chick lits. However, this, like The Little Tea Shop on the Corner, is suprisingly better than that. This one is not anything like as substantial as the other, but I always wanted to keep listening to know what happened next!
"Thoroughly enjoyable and a story that entertains!"
Yet again, Milly Johnson has written a story which keeps you wanting to read more and more! Good characters and a story which reels you in.
"A Great Story!"
This book has a great story and you really feel involved with each character, following every step of the story wondering what is going to happen next! The narrator Colleen Prendergast reads this book in such an interesting way that I couldn't stop listening!
This book will make you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time!
This was my first audiobook and I thoroughly enjoyed it! loved the characters Belle, Max and Lettie (Violet) as they make their wedding plans and the story begins to unfold . It is a light hearted read and made me chuckle out loud at times and I felt the narration added to the story. Well worth a read!
Again a very easy listen with the usual twist towards the end! Well narrated which added to the enjoyment of the book.
One of the best. great storyline, great characters, great narrator
Would compare it with all others I have read by Milly Johnson. That's not to say that all her books are the same because they're not, but she always writes about a group of friends, each with their own tail to tell and all very interesting, amusing and realistic.
Colleen Prendergast is a brilliant narrator. Her different voices and accents are excellent and she really helps to bring the story to life. It's sometimes like listening to a play or drama. In this particular book, her interpretation of the voice of 'glum Glynne' was most apt, it had me laughing our loud sometimes. Very good!
When Bel finally, realised that her step mother was special and told her so. It had me in tears!!
Where was the dog?? Most of the other books have a dog somewhere in the story, but there was no dog in this one (I missed that !!) The author is also a foody and often goes into great detail about certain meals and cakes. There's usually a cafe or restaurant in the book (in this case, and ice cream parlour) Always makes me hungry!! Great Author, Thoroughly recommended!!!
"Had me hooked!"
Another great book from this author. Lots of twists & turns to keep you interested. Characters you began to know and connect with. Just about to download another Milly book now!
Yes, I think sometime you miss a bit, so would definitely read again.
Belle, She was amazing, thought for a minute at the end she would get back with Richard. So Glad she didn't.
Belles Wedding Day.
Be careful what you wish for.
Looking forward to more of Millie's books.
"brides and grooms."
