Publisher's summary

The children were waiting. Waiting for centuries. Waiting for someone to hear their cries. Now nine-year-old Christie Lyons has come to live in the house on the hill - the house where no children have lived for 50 years. Now little Christie will sleep in the old-fashioned nursery on the third floor. Now Christie's terror will begin...when the wind blows, the children must die!

Brings Back Memories

Would you consider the audio edition of When the Wind Blows to be better than the print version?

Yes, the only reason why I say this is because I read this book for the first time when I was in high school. It was a book I bought at Sears in Highland Park Michigan. When I saw that it was in audio form, I was excited, and it brought back memories to me. I really enjoyed listening to this audio version. I have no time to read paperbacks.

What was one of the most memorable moments of When the Wind Blows?

When it was revealed that there was something wrong with Diana; and Diana was the actual killer, but she didn't know it. Even at the end, she still didn't know she was the killer.

Have you listened to any of Joyce Bean’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not sure, but I know one thing and is she was fabulous in making me see each character as an individual, now that is real talent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No I don't have the time for that. What I did was to listen to it in the car when I was going on my erands. My husband listens to it as well. He loved it too.

Any additional comments?

I have one other comment, and that is I wish you could take a book that John Saul has called Creature and turn it into an audio book. Back in the day it was on cassette (1995). Can you look into it? That is a marvelous book as well.

I love any book by John Saul. He is absolutely brilliant! This was my first time listening to a book. I didn't know if I would be able to get into the book the way I usually do. I am quite impressed. Im hooked!
