Harvard-educated, best-selling romance author Julia Quinn ("JQ" to her avid fans) has been described as a "contemporary Jane Austen". Her Bridgerton series proved so popular that she followed up the eight original novels with a series of ebook epilogues.
Kevan Brighting performs When He Was Wicked: The Epilogue II in an entrancing English accent that will bring listeners even closer to the beloved family that forms the nucleus of JQ's Bridgerton universe. Though the epilogue is written from the perspective of Francesca, who is in a happy, albeit childless, marriage to Michael, Brighting's deep and masculine delivery lends a gravitas and sensitivity to the painful emotional reality of infertile couples.

I am quiet and love being comfortable. I love curling up in a corner either reading or listening to a nice romantic book.
Again, this epilogue was not necessary and did not have to be written as an extra. The narrator is also horrible, horrible and again horrible and his voice as a female really sucks!
I was so excited to see the Bridgerton series epilogues. I have enjoyed this series, and the additional information was excellent.
This story was particularly interesting, as I often wondered what happened with this couple. Thanks!
It's so gratifying to see how things turned out for the main characters of a book I thoroughly enjoyed. If you haven't listened to "When He Was Wicked," by all means, do so. Although some gave it a low rating, I thought it was fantastic! The dialogue was a masterpiece of humor and emotion. The main characters found themselves in an almost impossible situation (romantically speaking), but their emotional connection was too strong to be denied. And the chemistry between those two was red hot! But enough rambling about the original book...
I like this epilogue because it realistically showed that even "happily ever after" can have its ups and downs. I wish more authors would top off the end of their novels this way.
Julia Quinn is an amazing author!
Thank you Audible books...
Awesome ending, Beautiful story...❤️
I have enjoyed listening, as the reader was amazing! I felt as though I was there at all times. I look forward to listening to every book
Julia Quinn has in your library.......
A different narrator
Disappointment in the narrator
Truly - if you feel any fondness for the characters from the original book, do NOT listen to this epilogue. The narrator's characterization of them is so painfully awful that it may be indelible.
Story is cute and a good follow-up of the original book, but the narrator for these 2nd epilogues is just awful! The "voices" of the characters other than the main ones are just horribly done and I would have preferred he stick to one "voice" for the whole thing. The women just sound like they cackle and the men sound really either pompous or just ridiculous.
Historical romances are the beat therapy and no one does it better than Julia Quinn.
