Two of paranormal romance's best-selling authors combine their extraordinary talents and set your headphones on fire with an after-dark anthology featuring Alpha males so hot, so wild, and so bad, they may just be the best you've ever had....
Shelly Laurenston,"Miss Congeniality"
It's those damn stockings that get me every time. They have this sexy little line down the back and I can't help but stare at her legs. . .constantly. And you'd think she'd be all over me like every other female in the Seattle area. I'm young, good looking, and one day I'll be Alpha Male of my family's Pack. But Professor Irene Conridge acts like I don't even exist. How is that possible? Now she's got enemies coming out of the woodwork and I have to protect her. Why? Because that's the kind of man I am. Yes, I am that amazing. Of course, it doesn't hurt that while I work to secure her safety, she'll be hanging out at my house. That's hours. . .days even that I've got Irene Conridge right where I want her.
Cynthia Eden, "Wicked Ways"
I'm too dangerous for her. I know it, but I can't get my sexy new neighbor out of my head. When I hear her scream one night, the absolute last thing I expect to see is Miranda Shaw - star of my hottest fantasies - being attacked by a vampire. Now the undead jerk is after her, and I'm the only thing standing between the beautiful lady and a killer who just won't stop. Well, too bad for him, because that vamp has just made the worst mistake of his afterlife - he's tangled with a shifter. And Miranda, well, she's so busy watching out for him that she won't see me closing in on her - not until it's too late - and I'm about to show her just how wild I can get....

Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
5 stars. Miss Congeniality by Shelly Laurenston. This is a novella that can be read at any time in the series but I recommend reading it after Wolf with Benefits. Gotta love the bluntness of honesty in this book, it makes for some awkward situations. Irene was funny in her Bitchy "with a capital B" way. This is a case were vinegar and water do mix and makes a HOT combination. This is defiantly a great addition to the Pride series. I missed Charlotte Kane voice from the other book, she adds humor to the series. 4 hours 37 mins.
3 stars. Wicked Ways by Cynthia Eden. It was an okay story, but nothing that makes me want to read more by this author. It drives me nuts when a women who has no experience thinks she can defeat the bad guys if she puts herself in the way. I don't get it when authors try to make women smart by giving the characters big degrees but have them do some of the stupidest things. 3 hours 52 mins.
Nick Toren was passable, his voice was deep and sexy, it just didn't have much inflection in it
Enough said- my headline says it all. I LOVE the books on the Smith and Van Holtz packs and when read by Ms Kane, they are even better than reading them. But this is read by someone that is very one-dimensional in his narration with abysmal accents. He is obviously not an actor as he doesn't emote very well- he is just 'reading' it. I wish I had read it and not wasted a credit.
I would have preferred the narrator who was used in the original series.
No - too short
I listened to the series first. The narrator was much better in the series. This book was really short and felt like an after thought. It wasn't detailed well.
I will grab a Shelly Laurensten book every time! This story is fun and gives some back story on characters in her other books of this series. BUT...The narrator is awful. If a narrator can "make it or break it" for you, don't waste your credit on this audible version; read it instead.
One dimensional, boring, passionless. He could have been reading the NY Times Stock Report for all the enthusiasm he put into reading this. Basically, all he is doing is reading, not performing the story. It's hard to tell the difference when he switches between character dialogue and story narrative. He makes no effort to differentiate between character voices. Enough said, very poor narrator.
Charlotte Kane narrating.
I have everything written by Shelly Laureston. First in book format and now in audio. Her characters are funny and believable. Cynthia Eden is a good author also.
Get a different narrator.
The narrator read this book as if he were reading a shopping list. He kept a steady boring monotone throughout the book. Had it not been for the fact that the Laurenston story was part of a series I would never have continued with the painful narration.
I've read this one I don't know how many times, and I still love it, thought I like Cynthia Eden, the draw for me is always the pack series, and Shelly Laurenston. Her humor is addictive. I was a bit surprised by the male narrator, but he did put an interesting twist to a favorite story. More please, books 4 to 8 are hilarious, and the novellas here and there a often more than interesting, filing in some details of this weird but wonderfull world.
Traveling therapist listening to AUDIBLE books while driving to far areas. Also host/produce radio show on KGLP 91.7 on staying positive!!
2 stories on anglo females finding help & love. Flip a coin on purchasing these stories.
I love all of Shelley Laurenstons books and so far this was not any different just wish she had taken longer to catch the vampire
as with all of Shelly laurenston books when he was bad I enjoyed greatly however the second book I couldn't even get through the whole thing it was not to my liking
I'm an unrepentant bookworm with too much time on my hands. I read at least 100+ books annually, with audio books as my main addiction!
I enjoyed the stories, but the narrator was very monotone, and it just sounded weird every time he said the endearment "baby". It actually got on my nerves, if I'm being honest. I'm debating if I want to keep the audio version or not due to the narrator. I think I only spent a couple dollars on it, as I believe it's a whispersync...but I'm not sure I can go through that ear torture again. I'd skip it and just buy the ebook.
