Publisher's summary

From the number one New York Times best-selling author of The Husband's Secret and Big Little Lies

A “cheerfully engaging”(Kirkus Reviews) novel for anyone who’s ever asked herself, “How did I get here?”

Alice Love is 29, crazy about her husband, and pregnant with her first child. So imagine Alice’s surprise when she comes to on the floor of a gym (a gym! She HATES the gym) and is whisked off to the hospital, where she discovers the honeymoon is truly over - she’s getting divorced, she has three kids, and she’s actually 39 years old.

Alice must reconstruct the events of a lost decade and find out whether it’s possible to reconstruct her life at the same time. She has to figure out why her sister hardly talks to her, and how is it that she’s become one of those super skinny moms with really expensive clothes. Ultimately, Alice must discover whether forgetting is a blessing or a curse, and whether it’s possible to start over....

Just keep listening

Any additional comments?

When I first started listening I was contemplating about returning this credit, but it wouldn't let me do it online and i was too lazy to call customer service. I am so glad I wasn't able to return it. This book actually really has helped me I am in the middle of a rut with my personal life and always trying to control every aspect of it and after reading this i'm just letting go what needs to happen will happen eventually.

Interesting plot line, satisfying listen

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It’s depiction of the challenges families face is spot on. It raises some good questions about how the years take their toll on a person for the better and the worse.

Pretty good.

I have ready several of Liane Moriarty books. I wasn’t real invested in this story line but was very satisfied with the ending.

Slow Start.. Great Book

This is the first book that I listen to that was in an Australian accent. I was a little put off by the accent at first, but after the 5th or 6th chapter the storyline developed and I no longer paid attention to the accent. Overall a very excellent book. I would highly recommend.

Curiously enjoyed it

It's like listening to someone reminisce about life. I almost gave up on it. Glad I didn't.

Slow beginning, great ending

I really enjoyed the second half of the book and the ending. The beginning was a little too drawn out and too slow, but overall a very fun read.

An amazing listen!!

First of all, listening to the Australian accent is awesome.

Liane Moriarty does such a good job telling a story from different points of view where as a reader you can relate so easily to both sides--you wonder how often in life there is misunderstandings that could just be solved by open communication

My take away--Time goes so fast, LOVE the ones you're with.
