Publisher's summary

When Alice Love surfaces from a beautiful dream to find she's been injured in a gym, she knows that something is very wrong – she hates exercise. Alice's first concern is her baby – she's pregnant with her first child, and she's desperate to see her husband, Nick, whom she knows will be worried about her. But Alice isn't pregnant. And Nick isn't worried. Alice is the mother of three children and her hostile husband is in the process of divorcing her. Alice has lost ten years of her life.

In the days that follow, small bubbles of the past rise to the surface, and Alice is forced to confront uncomfortable truths. It turns out forgetting might be the most memorable thing that's ever happened to her.

What Alice Forgot

Really enjoyed this book. It was engaging, the characters were well described and realistic. In book form I would have found it hard to put down.

Such a nicely written story!! Couldn’t stop listening

I truly enjoyed this book! It’s the first time I read something written by Liane Moriarty and I feel I won the lottery! The story is nicely written and truly relatable, the characters are lovable, and the narration is nicely accomplished.
I can’t wait to tackle more books from this author!

Throroughly Enjoyable Listening.

This is the second book I have listened to by Liane Moriarty and read by Caroline Lee. The narrator does an excellent job and really enhances the book. Always a plus when that happens. I liked the twists and turns in the plot and imagine if this really did happen.

A domestic slice of life

I had Thought I was getting a psychological thriller, so, of course, I was disappointed to end up with a "daytime drama." With that said, it was actually pretty good. The story was believable and most importantly it wasn't boring at all. However, the narrator... No matter what character she reads, even when she simply narrates, she sounds like an angry old woman yelling at her caregivers. Her reading borders on hysterical sometimes. She should calm down.

Easy listening

I really enjoy Liane Moriarty's books, and this one did not disappoint. I love the narrator and her performance of the characters. Rediscovering Alice's world with her was emotional and an interesting journey.

Fast forward 10 years of your life, what a premise

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! Mind-shifting! Take a little time and walk in the shoes of the main character, it's a fun and moving read!

What did you like best about this story?

The premise, you wake up from a head injury and you have forgotten the last 10 years - what assumptions about your relationship then would you make now! Beautifully written!

What does Caroline Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Energy and fun! She brings the humour out fabulous!

Any additional comments?

Fantastic

Even though it is not the main theme, Liane Moriarty describes infertility and the toughts and actions of a childless mother fabulously ✨

Excellent memory loss story concept

I loved the story concept where the main character Alice loses memory of the past 10 years of her life. It made me think of myself and who I was then, who I am now and everything inbetween.

This book is about this but also about family, busy lives, juggling activities and relationships, forgiveness and love.

Narration is superb. I thoroughly enjoyed this tale.
