Publisher's summary

The #1 New York Times and USA Today best-selling phenomenon

Some things are worth waiting for….

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at that fateful Halloween party five years ago - an event that forever changed her life. What she never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she's building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing....

Cameron Hamilton is six feet, three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make Avery want things she believed had been irrevocably stolen from her. Getting involved with him is dangerous. Yet ignoring the simmering tension that sparks between them - and brings out a side of her she never knew existed - is impossible.

Some things shouldn't be kept quiet....

But when Avery starts receiving threatening e-mails and phone calls, she's forced to face a past she wants to keep buried and acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. If the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface with one less scar? And will Cam be there to help her?

And some things are worth fighting for....

Even better

This is a reread for me. It’s been years since I first read it. Loved it then and loved it even more now. The audible was very good. Wish she would write more of this genre. She’s so good.

Great book

I had this in audible for an unknown reason I like to read my own books but had an 8 hour drive the other day and decided to listen. Glad I did but sorry I didn’t have it in copy. The narrator was kinda cringe to me being she would sometimes still have a little of the other person’s slang in her tone when reading another character and her cam voice I almost did just quit listening but glad I “listened” thru even tho that voice was every male voice she did through the whole book. But this isn’t about narration it’s about the book. The book is great, why wouldn’t it be Jennifer l armentrout is a great writer, I have not come across one book from her I did not like!

Trust in Me

Where does Wait for You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Love the book and the narration.

Which scene was your favorite?

Avery's visit to Cam's home during Thanksgiving break.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

I would like a narration of Trust in Me that is English also. They all have narration except that one.

Really liked the characters.
A bit wordy at times. The sex scenes were very descriptive. Overall a good read.

Outstanding Listen

The author wrote a brave story about a young woman equally brave, and it was done in a straightforward and realistic manner. There was a lot of drama and angst but there was also moments of humor... and of course there's romance. Not at all steamy, this story was tender and evocative. Read by one of the best narrators, Eastlake did the audio justice. This was an outstanding listen.

Not a Satisfying Ending but good overall..

I give this book mixed emotions..
Theres so many highs and theres also some lows, mainly the ending.. its not a bad ending dont get me wrong, but its not satisfying.. i love this series overall, plenty of comedy, drama and just enough suspense to give it a great listen..

Sophie Eastlake / Julia Whelan once again did a superb job giving life to this book.. shes just amazing..

3.5 stars

The FMC became frustrating about halfway through this book. I could understand her actions, even though I didn't agree with them, until her and the MMC patched things up and decided to move forward. He said his condition was that she trust him. She agreed to that condition. And then she demonstrated she didn't trust him by refusing to confide in him even though her secrets effected their relationship. Her communication left a lot to be desired. When he asked for trust, instead of agreeing, she should have told him she was struggling and why.
Other than the FMC lying to the MMC and refusing to tell him the truth, this was an enjoyable book, but it seemed like a lot was missing without the MMC's POV. The FMC's POV was so consumed with her past that it was difficult to understand why the MMC was interested in her.
I discovered there is a book that tells this story from the MMC's POV and while I am annoyed there's a separate book to get it, I do plan to read it. I understand some romances are told from a single POV, but a single POV does not fully work with this particular story because I kept asking myself the entire book, "what does he see in her? Why is he working so hard to be with her?" And when he said he loved her, I couldn't help but wonder why. There wasn't enough dialogue between the characters to fully explain why he developed such deep feelings for her. Their interactions didn't shed light on it either because, from the FMC's POV, the only thing the reader got was she found him hot, she was uncomfortable with a multitude of things and she was constantly questioning herself. I am guessing (hoping) the book from the MMC's POV will shed light on his growing feelings during these interactions and the why of them. It's obvious he felt a connection to her from his persistence alone but she's so clueless and consumed by her doubts about everything, the reader doesn't really get any insight into WHY he's so persistent.

Deeper than what was on the surface

Listening through half the book I felt a little disappointed that it was so light and airy. I didn't connect with the deep emotion I usually require from books I read. But half way through everything changed. Definitely worth a listen.

And Sophie Eastlake is one of my favorite narrators. The way she is able to make you believe there is actually a male reading the male role is incredible. Her voice is perfect for college age characters. I really enjoy her.
