My absolute favorite story

V for Vendetta is my favorite movie and favorite story. I have really enjoyed listening to this book! Simon Vance did a great job with the different voices, though I did laugh a little when I first heard his female inflection. You get used to it. I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves the story and wants to get a liiiiiiittle more in-depth than the movie did. I’ll definitely be listening again!

Just like the movie, but better.

This book follows the movie exactly, nearly word for word in terms of dialog, but fills in the gaps and provides conveyance of emotion and thought processes behind the action. The only thing I didn't like about the movie is the whistling daggers, there's no such cheese in this format. I loved every minute of this, and the narrator was perfect. I've not read the graphic novel, so I can't comment on that.

It's just the movie

I enjoyed the narrative, but didn't realize when I bought it that it was just the movie in written form. I guess I should have expected that. Unlike literature that results in a movie, a book resulting from a movie has far less material to work with. Not a bad listen.

Such a fan

I watch "V for Vendetta" every November 5th. I love the movie so when I found the novelization, I knew I had to check it out. There are moments from the original graphic novel written back into the story that were missing from the movie script, as well as original ideas from the writers that add another layer to an already fantastic story about corruption and freedom.

Impressive

I love the movie. This adds so much to that enjoyment. It adds depth to the characters and fills in some gaps. Narration was excellent.

Most Excellent!!!

This story spoke to my soul. In this time of governments lying to their people about everything possible, this story gives hope to the common man. While it is still fiction and a illustrated novel (comic book)story at that, it is still a great story. If you didn't see the movie, then the book is a great way to get the total experience. While the movie is also excellent, the book does have a little more than the movie.

So, I hadn't seen the movie, and was blown away by how good this was. Simon Vance, as always, is masterful. this was so good

As good as the Graphic novel and Movie

Great as ever to listen to a great Graphic Novel as well as the movie, I enjoyed it very much but the whole time I kept pretending to hear the voices of the characters from the movie like Hugo Weaving as V, Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond and John Hurt as Adam Susan it's just un impossible to listen to the story and not hear them and their characters. Especially with the great and awesome unmistakable voices of Hugo and John. Loved every min of this Audible book, just think that having the actors play their roles would've been a awesome surprise and treat lol! Then again you can just play the movies audio........ Lmao!!!

One of My Favorites

V for Vendetta is a great story, and a great warning against apathy in regard to your government. Who polices the police?

In case you're wondering, this is one of those rarities in which the movie did the book justice.

A complete and utter masterpiece

albeit short and modern relatively speaking an amazing book that more individuals should read.
if you are looking for something that sums up the current coronavirus epidemic in respect to how the government can manipulate it's people into believing just about anything you should read this period.

a dramatic look at what can happen if one is to believe this life's sleight-of-hand.
