A father visits his son. They sit close together but are separated by so much - most tangibly, a Plexiglas window. In the wake of unimaginable events, the conversation that follows spirals toward a devastating revelation.

I've read that writing a good short story is more difficult than writing a long book..I believe Stephen King said that.
In any case, "Unconditional" is the shortest of stories, humble, a feelings grabber, that I've listened to about 10 times now. Just because it makes me appreciate what I have.
Another reviewer said she cried all the way thru "Unconditional"..I get that. My own heart went out to the old man in the story of unconditional love.
Crouch, better known for "Wayward Pines" and the goulish "Snow Bound" proves himself as a master of the short story here...and Luke Daniels. Well... My oh my...I believe he's moved in my #1 favorite narrator with this story. His simple speech quietly pronounced, iis the perfect accent for this little story.
As an FYI-I bought his short as a single story but just discovered that all of Crouch's shorts are combined together in one book called "Fully Loaded" A much better use for your credit.
After listening to this, I now understand what it mean to have unconditional love. I never understood how parents could love their children if they were serial killers. I now know that even serial killers were once "someone's little boy." I cried the whole time I listened to this.
