Publisher's summary

They're out there....
Waiting. Watching. Unseen by normal eyes, but all too visible to Slim MacKenzie, a young man blessed - or cursed - by Twilight Eyes.

They're out there....
Lurking in the darkest shadows of an eerie, moonlit carnival. Feeding their twisted needs with human suffering - and fiendishly plotting the downfall of the human race.

They're out there....
But don't scream. They'll hear you.

catching up on reading

Where does Twilight Eyes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I finally finished a book that i read half way through in high school in one trip to visit parents and two weeks commute

One of Koontz's Best!!!

love the setting, love the characters, and love the whole idea in this book. The narrator did a fantastic job as well.

Read if you like 2nd hand embarrassment. Cringe.

This was the cringiest book I’ve ever read. I kept reading because i wanted to see if it could keep getting worse. I was not disappointed. I mean, I’m still giving it 4 stars because the cringe factor kept me listening 🤷🏻‍♀️. It became kind of fun in and of itself.

Wrong narrator for this book!

Beautifully crafted prose and an engaging story line, but the narrator for this book is simply wrong. The gentleman has a truly lovely, rich, deep voice entirely appropriate for delivering Shakespeare. But he's obviously not 17 years old and the main character is supposed to be a teenage boy. The dissonance between the content of the story and the voice was distracting for me and kept pulling me "out" of the atmosphere. He simply doesn't sound like a young frightened man. His reading sounds like an older man recounting his youth, and that's not the narrative.

Fantastic

Loved it!! Best book ever! Couldn't stop listening to it. Reminds me of Odd Thomas story, which I also loved.

Started strong but then drags along

The book starts of strong and interesting to listen to. Then, it seems like it just drags on with the same theme and same events chapter after chapter. Odd Thomas series were much better stories that kept you engaged. I fast forwarded quite a bit to see if the story would improve.
