Good Read with different twist!

A mixture of a Kwan novel and the movie Menace to Society. With a springle of Whida Clark.

???

Ok This is just my opinion I'm not familiar with the gangsta lifestyle this is a classic! You can't be a Street-Lit fan without " Trust No Man" in oyur collection. Cash gave us exactly what the game needed A good old fashioned street-tale no cut, no chaser, raw like street-lit was intended to be. I was pleased to see that the publisher allowed Cash to do his thing without watering it down Cash spit real street talk in a way only someone who's been in the streets could spit it. Trust No Man is the first installment of the best and only. Book about gangsters I read is there a movie based on the book?

this book is the truth

Would you consider the audio edition of Trust No Man to be better than the print version?

Yes, I feel the narrator really brought it to life

What other book might you compare Trust No Man to and why?

I read many and you can compare it to the likes of K'wan, Ashley and her husband, noire and wahida because it's real, descriptive and keeps you coming back for more.

Which character – as performed by Brandon Rubin – was your favorite?

I really loved the voice of rich kid. He sounds just like a friend of mine.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

everyday grind in search of trust you will not find

Story is suppose to be based in ATL, but is read with a Cali accent.

I'm from Atlanna Jawja and I couldn't connect with the story, based in ATL, during the era of Blockbuster video and pagers/beepers and pay phones, all because the Narrator read the story with a CALI Accent. He ain't een say Shawty right not nan time. Changing voices for characters is fine, but don't do accents if you can't match the correct accent with the region/demographic of people. It just kept throwin me off. Then in the story Youngblood's ass dressed like he was straight from New York for the Player's Ball. I was like whet da hell! Story was cool, not quite finished yet but it's straight. Oh yeah dude kept saying the girl was (din jee) when I think he was supposed to be saying (ding ee/dingy) lol.

It's a lot going on

Although I enjoyed it,this book seemed long to me.At any rate, everybody was so treacherous,I didn't know who to like or dislike.I don't even like Youngblood nine tenths of the time.Lol. Sex,drugs and murder x ten. I'll read the sequel later
