Nice story but
I enjoyed the story, but almost couldn't finish because of the narrator. Her genersl narration was okay, but the voices for the characters was awful - really awful. It really diminishes the book, in my opinion.

This book was great, maybe a person in high school on up would enjoy it too! It wouldn’t be Kristen Hannah if there was no Lawyers, Tequila & strong women in her books 😍 the reader was awesome too!

great story; struggled with narration
I have enjoyed Kristin Hannah's work in the past, so when previous reviewers indicated the narrator's voice was annoying, I thought how bad could it be? Turns out, pretty bad so much so that I almost stopped listening. I'm glad I stuck it out though, because the story did not disappoint. Great job, Kristin -- recommend you read this one (not listen).

Kept hoping it would get better..
This one was really slow to even get somewhat interesting. I stayed with it because of the story between the sisters and how it personally spoke to me being 1 of 3 girls. The love story of the main characters wasn't as strong as I would've liked but it was there.
most of all, I couldn't stand the narrator's character voices especially for the women and the young boy!!!! I don't think a 14 year old boy should sound like a 6 year old boy. And all the women sounded like 14 year old girls!! it totally killed it for me unfortunately. She's tolerable while just reading the story....but not sure why she had to make most of the characters sound like little girls or boys?!?!
