Publisher's summary

Being the woman of a caked up hustler isn't always sweet, but Sparkle keeps her game face on. She resides in a nice home with her fiance' Sayveon, and infamous well known drug dealer. He has everything on lock from his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi to South Florida. Because of Sayveon's drug empire and lifestyle, Sparkle finds herself constantly being included in dramatic situations with his random chicks. He's one of the most wanted men in the Dirty South by the ladies.

Sayveon forces Sparkle to believe that if she's his 'ride or die' chick that he needs on his team, everything will end in her favor. However unknown to Sayveon, Sparkle falls in love with someone from her past. As the many women compete with Sparkle for Sayveon's love and affection - a trifling event develops. Will Sparkle choose loyalty or happiness? When it comes to a drug-lord everyone wants to become "wifey." But when the relationship is continuously tested, only the strong survive. In a dark world full of hatred, betrayal, and absolute chaos the question at hand is - are you able to play your role and withstand the drama from the streets?

Let the cat out of the bag!

I am so excited to be introduced to this author and I will definitely be a supporter for this one. This book had my mind reeling and trying to define what a true ride or die chick is. Sparkle is the main chic in this book who is trying to know her place when it comes to her man. The things she goes through and puts up with from her man Sayveon are only things that a woman who really loves a man would do. I think what I like most was that Mississippi was the setting in this book and because I know that things like this really happen in the Sip my interest was peaked. Sayveon also gets a reality check that opens the door to his relationship with his folks while growing up. I enjoyed listening to the story unfold and seeing the path each character will take. I am ready for the next book to see what will happen to each characters life and how life experiences may or may not change them. this was a good book with a good narrator that will hold your attention.

please don't

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book is Trifling indeed and the narrator was REALLLYYY bad.

What could Jennifer Luckett have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

There was way too much going on. This didn't even have an interesting turn of events.. Typical scenarios that do not tie together or stand alone.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of LaShone Garth?

Anyone who doesn't have to yell to sound more like a character.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NO
