I find the different voices great.
I like the story line, but you have to listen to part one first and you have to understand it is basically an introduction to the series. I will be slowly getting the rest of the stories. It is preachy at times, some praying, and talking about
God a lot, so if that bothers you, this is not the story for you. Try Star War dramatized or Lord of the rings, both well done.
I was skeptical about purchasing the dramatization instead of the unabridged work, but am astounded and pleased with this work! I highly recommend this product. As an old time radio enthusiast, I appreciate the quality of the work!
The was an awful experience. It was like "listening" to a movie. For someone that has not read the book, you really don't get a visual as to what is going on. People are speaking but you don't know who...as if you are supposed to figure out who someone is and memorize each characters voice! This was very upsetting and turned off after about 15 minutes.
I do not recommend these "sound and drama" audiobooks unless you have read the actual book and already have an idea of who did it, how, and why...
The only reason it gets any stars is because of the story line. The sound affects are a distraction from the story and leave you wondering what just happened. I recommend the book, but do yourself a favor and get the unabridged version with a single narrator.
