Publisher's summary

Filled with exciting tales of the frontier, the chronicle of the Sackett family is perhaps the crowning achievement of one of our greatest storytellers. In Treasure Mountain, Louis L'Amour delivers a robust story of two brothers searching to learn the fate of their missing father, and finding themselves in a struggle just to stay alive.

Orrin and Tell Sackett had come to exotic New Orleans looking for answers to their father's disappearance 20 years before. To uncover the truth, the brothers enlisted the aid of a trailwise gypsy and a mysterious voodoo priest as they sought to re-create their father's last trek.

But Louisiana is a dangerous land, and with one misstep the brothers could disappear in the bayous before they even set foot on the trail that led to whatever legacy their father had left behind, and a secret worth killing for.

Wouldn’t download beyond ch9!

I paid for this book with my credit and I enjoyed the first 9 chapters very much, unfortunately it would not download the rest if the book and I am left hanging. I don’t know how to register a complaint other than try to give it back. This is what I don’t like about using Audible! Frustrating!!

I loved this book.

I have read many of L amour’s books. I especially like the sacket series.
L amour can tell a story like no one else. He wrote with such clarity of detail that made you feel like you were right there. He was never boring like some writers can be when they go into detail. I am always sorry when I come to the end of a book. I want it to go on forever. I wish I could have met this great story teller. Colette Magwire

Chapter Problems

Definte chapter timing was off, seemed to be off on the timing of chapter endings sometimes for almost 30-45 seconds?

Not Lamour’s best work

This is not Louis Lamour’s best work in the Sackett series of books. Enjoy the characters and familiarity but this one just falls short for me

Another Tell by Louis L’Amour

Tell is one of my favorite characters in all the Sackett series. As usually Louis painted a poetic portrait of the old west and the hunt for gold.
