We'd done it: we'd taken a mismatched, diverse group of women and cobbled together a prayer group that really worked for all of us. Now that spring was here, we were celebrating our one-year anniversary - and a wedding, an early parole, and two baptisms in the lake! Everything was feeling pretty great.
But it's when we're in our comfort zone that we're most likely to let our guard down. Without warning, lots of little things seemed to become big problems. With a white supremacy hate group targeting a local university, our very diversity almost became a liability. It took a vicious attack on Nony's husband to make us see that we had to get tough - and fight back together.

Only disappointed that the next few books in the series are not available in Audio. Can't imagine these books without hearing Barbara Rosenblat's genius narration but I will STILL be reading the other books. God bless you Neta Jackson!
The Yada Yadas learn meaning of togetherness.

This is life and don't forget it! But it's when we are in our comfort zone that we're most likely to let our guard down. Without warning, little things seemed to become big problems. It takes a vicious attack on Nony's husband to make one see that they had to get tough - and fight back together. Prayer can change things and don't ever doubt it!
I enjoy this series of books, and am disappointed I cannot find the rest on audible.com. There are so many good lessons and the characters are so real. Not so fluffy perfect that you think it is a fairy tale, but how "normal" people act and react day to day. This one hits some tough racial issues and brings the reality of what is going on in our present day world, home. Gave four stars, because my one complaint is, for those readers who have not read the previous books in series they refer back to past book incidents, which is fine at the beginning of book, but the writer tends to relive for the sole purpose of reference, past books way too many times. Gets annoying.
