Publisher's Summary

Actress Sabrina Falks is engaged to the wonderful Edward. When Sabrina asks her wayward younger sister Mimi to be bridesmaid, Mimi soon learns that 'bridesmaid' actually means 'unofficial wedding planner'. And Mimi knows that it's going to take more than just patience to whip up the wedding of the century, especially when the official wedding planner has a murky secret that could rock Sabrina and Edward's world...

A story foucssed on weddings, everything good and difficult about them! Nice characterisation of key players and well read. Enjoyed this audio very much. Will listen again!

    "Great story - beautifully read"

There is far more meat to this story than the publishers' blurb would lead you to believe. Sisters, Sabrina and Miriam, have grown much further apart than the thousands of miles which have separated them for the past three years. Now Sabrina, star of the Australian soap, Sunshine Cove, and Miriam (Mimi), broke after years of back-packing around the world, are back together because Sabrina is about to get married and Mimi has been hired to help the Wedding Planner organise this huge showbiz occasion.
We gradually learn about the girls' background and the reasons for the tensions between them during the build-up to the big day.
There is plenty of pathos but it is leavened by some lovely light (and some not so light) digs at the present celebrity culture and the world of TV soaps. The story is beautifully read by Nicolette McKenzie.

    "Gripping Australian emotional drama"

As with so many female writers, La Brooy keeps our heart yearning for her characters to fulfil their promise and they do!

    "terrible book"
What would have made The Wedding Planner better?

This has to be the most boring book I have had in a long time, I've stayed with it until chapter 10.... Can take no more
