Publisher's summary

Filled with exciting tales of the frontier, the chronicle of the Sackett family is perhaps the crowning achievement of one of our greatest storytellers. In The Warrior's Path, L'Amour tells the story of Yance and Kin Sackett, two brothers who are the last hope of a young woman who faces a fate worse than death.

When Yance Sackett's sister-in-law is kidnapped, he and Kin race north from Carolina to find her. They arrive at a superstitious town rife with rumors, and learn that someone very powerful was behind Diana's disappearance.

To bring the culprit to justice, one brother must sail to the exotic West Indies. There, among pirates, cutthroats, and ruthless "businessmen", he will apply the skills he learned as a frontiersman to an unfamiliar world, a world where one false move means instant death.

Loved the ol Irish talk and heavy gunfire, fights

Very first Colonial style of living and thinking about exploring the new lands beyound Carolina after chasing down slavers in Jamiaca and islands to find stole women. Leeaves you wondering how men survived at all withpirates and shipwrecks and so much violence.

Good listen

I've read the book but didn't know ir was part of a series so I wanted to listen to the stories in order. Considering I've already read the book I still enjoyed listening to the story.

Timeless books, great for families

My grandfather had a collection of the Louis L'Amour books and I remember his talking about them, telling me the stories. Later my father started reading the books and after my grandfather died my dad got his collection. Recently after my father passed I found the entire repository of western novels, I only wish I had listened to them sooner so I could share in the stories the way my son and I do with the Zanth, monster hunters, and wild cards. These are great stories with timeless values and wonderful lessons. I recommend sharing with the kids sooner rather than later.
