Publisher's summary

In "Shades of Gray" by Katie MacAlister, Noelle is a Guardian: a demon-wrangler, imp-banisher, and all-round secret protector of humans from the Otherworld. While working on the set of a ghost-busting reality show in a haunted castle, she meets a sexy vampire, and together they prevent a Master Demon from killing everyone in the castle.

In "Undead Sublet" by Molly Harper, executive chef Tess Maitland is banned from her five-star kitchen in Chicago to recover from "exhaustion". Choosing a random rental house in Half-Moon Hollow to spend time in, she's unaware that the house comes with a strange man. Even though Sam Masden's ex-wife has rented the house out from under him, the divorce settlement allows him access to it for another ninety days. With Tess unable to go anywhere else, and Sam unwilling, a war of epic proportions is declared - and romantic sparks and heavy pots fly.

Jessica Sims's "Out With a Fang" features Ruby Sommers, a lonely were-jaguar who signs up for a blind date through the paranormal dating agency Midnight Liaisons. When she arrives, she finds out that her date, a vampire, was the human she'd been in love with four years ago but was forced to dump.

Listen to this one for Molly Harper

I wanted to listen to this one for a Half-Moon Hollow short story by Molly Harper & that one didn’t disappoint—good snarky fun. The other two stories were fine & the whole thing made for a good October listen.

Predictable but fun

I enjoy all these authors, but didn't think these stories are their best work. still, they were light and easy listening.

Sum of ratings not individual novelas

The only story worth my time was Undead sublet by M. Hraper. Solid 3.5 stars (borderline 4). Granted, I've read all the books in this series and know (like) the characters, author style, wit and humor and it certainly influenced my rating. It also influenced me buying this book in the first place and gave other authors my time and effort to plow through their stories/worlds. And plow I did. So, as I hate low rating let's just stick to waste of my time, immature, w/o substance, don't bother and stop at that. Narration was great and helped while plowing...

Almost Perfect

The first two short stories are well written and performed. The last one, "Out with a Fang".... felt like a chore to get through. Seemed like a story written by a randy teenager. The narrator, her constant "chipperness" started to grate on my nerves.

Some stories were good

I bought this book because I absolutely love all of the books in the Jane Jamison series by Molly Harper, and I was really hoping to find more authors I would like. I hated the first story by Katie MacAlister. I kept listening and waiting to start liking it, but the characters are awful. I can't figure out if it's the story or the narrator that ruined it for me. I loved Molly Harper's story, which I knew I would. I found that I really liked the third story, Out With a Fang by Jessica Simms and I'm looking forward to buying one of her full length stories. I would recommend this book for the second & third stories only.

More Molly Harper...please

I purchased this for the Molly Harper story more than anything and was not disappointed. A cup of humor, a dash of old friends and a pinch of vampire culture - cooking style. It's a great story I've already relistened to it again. I think it's worth the credit for Molly's story alone.

Wish it was longer but it's only short stories...

These are good stories, but alas, they're only short stories of Hot Vampires falling in love. If you like Molly Harper's books, then you'll like this one. It's a good book but I wish the stories were longer.

Ugh! I love the Molly Harper story but....

The other two stories were lame. The last narrative was horrible... I could not even finish. The British narrator was great
